Identity Threat Detection and Response

Security controls focused on detecting and stopping attacks that use stolen or abused identities and credentials.

Also known as ITDR identity threat detection

Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) is a security discipline focused on protecting identities, credentials, and access paths from abuse. ITDR tools monitor for suspicious authentication patterns, privilege escalation, and credential misuse across SaaS, cloud, and on-premises environments.

ITDR works best when fed with high-quality exposure data. Infostealer intelligence tells you which identities are already compromised in criminal markets, allowing ITDR systems to prioritize monitoring and force remediation before abuse occurs.
